I have been busy getting the boat ready for relaunching and today, amongst many jobs, was the engine water filter. I moor in a river, so the filter is a dirty brown with some debris in it. I spend an hour cleaning away, when a gust of wind picks it up and it breaks hitting the ground ????
Vetus don’t appear to want to sell the element separately and would rather you spend €300 on a new unit. But luckily I found a company that said they would deliver it for €20????
It’s TYBOAT.COM (they had my name in file so I have used them before. Anyhow the wife advised I take the rest of the day off in order to stay calm??

You got the drone working then.
Launched and recovered by hand?
Haven’t mastered the hand technique yet…..launched from the front of the boat. I try not to hit return to home in case the boat shifts on anchor so I bring it back in and get it to hover above the front cushions!! Next time though :). BTW MedMilo had a shocker. Flew into a no fly zone and the drone force landed - into the sea!!!!rather than hover and wait until you got there. He said that he tried to get it back to the boat at top speed but came up 5m short and the force land could not be overridden.

I thought that this would only apply to those who had their jabs in India. I’m not sure that the nhs tells you that you got AZ made in India
It does tell you that you had the Indian manufactured version, its down to the batch number. The NHS app tells you the batch number, and the batch number indicates whether its the Indian version of the vax.

Same happens to my partner. Really annoying
Just got the 5 day all clear. I shall now stop answering the phone from the easily identifiable 0300 number. Last time this happened 2 hours after i got the all clear i got the call saying someone tested positive on the plane and it didn’t count. I then asked what seat number to which they said privacy protection meant they could not tell me. I suggested that my protection should have some rights too and in any case I could not understand why it would make a difference as the whole purpose of a 5 day test was to catch exactly what happened ie someone else on plane had it and may have passed it on. Frankly it all makes little sense. So best just not to answer the phone now i tested negative after 5 days and they can come and visit if they want

Does the whole plane have to self isolate if one person on the plane tests positive?

The cynic in me says It would be vey easy for them to tell everyone who’s flown that someone on their flight has tested positive. No one can ever disprove it, and it keeps them in a job.

Yes I think so for the full 10 days no early release .
Same as the whole class gets to bunk off if one kid gets a + ve .
Kids apparently have wised up re chemistry can fake a + ve and thus bunk off .Prob if under a certain age a parent has to cock off there job too to stay @ home to look after them . A lot of folks are unable to work .

The whole U.K. stance is back firing as the economy cannot get out of first gear with on one hand furlough , Rishi paying out and the knack all revenues coming in as business cannot get into the upper gears .
Had a mate who keeps a Porsche in CH , U.K. reg but needs an MOT + service £1600 + extended warranty check .
Simples you would think simply phone / e mail the local Porsche centre and arrange .

Starts off to drive up arrives via tunnel and gets a ping from the mot side “ guys been pinged by T+T+ T as one person on a flight back from somewhere goes Covid .
No problem my mate was staying with sister .
Her kids get pinged from school , so now he has to move out as needs a neg test to re enter France .
Then another call from the Porsche centre the service guy are down a few guys as 1/2 of them also pinged and we can only through put a fraction of cars .
What a night mare .He has cash to spend but the U.K. business cannot take it as constant staff time tabling woes re Covid pings .

Thats why the mood music in No 10 has changed .
Whist arguably is was a good idea back in May to be cautious re new variants , because the delta numbers and deaths link has been broken with the vaccine , found out now during June its apparent to any onlookers to get rid of restrictions ASAP .
They did kick the freedom date into July the 17 th, but Rishi is bleeding cash .
Take the VAT receipts on my mates proposed Porsche expenditure as just one example .

The U.K. work force needs to buckle down and get taking cash from punters .
Then the football , Wimbledon, F 1 , Ascot etc etc .

Folk round heres CH are just driving into Austria , Italy and France and returning via open unmanned borders .
Everybody’s mixing loadsa Dutch + Belgium plates about .
I followed a car with Bulgarian plates into CH yesterday.God knows where he’s been or what if any Vax .....nobody’s asking .

The wider EU is heading for a homogeneous genetic virus variant .....about time the U.K.,joined in .
What ever one gets they all will end up getting .

UKs over egged the pudding needs to relax stuff PDQ .

Yes, when we got the call I tried to talk my way out of it but she was very blunt that the 10 day isolation cannot be reduced. It was the whole flight in the same situation. To be honest its no big deal, weather has been nice so just been enjoying the garden! I did leave the house today though to drop our day 8 test off at the randox dropbox ?

For those travelling to Spain you now have to complete a new online health form no more than 48 hours before you travel. This seems to replace the old paper version.
www.spth.gob.es
Another update. Having spent the last hour or so trying to complete the Spanish health form and it not accepting our address, you need to put in your zip code at the end of the form before trying to fill out the details above it!! Only found out by trial and error. Why they don’t put the zip code first is anyone’s guess. I’ve never come across any other form where you start at the bottom and work backwards.
