not wrong - but hopefully the spanish will continue to talk nicely to us and get themselves on our green list!
Not at all.not surprised by France at all - surely political once again. The "indian variant" will already be in France.
There are very few cases of the Indian variant in France.
Also, the vaccines are reputed to be considerably less effective vs the Indian variant and not enough people are vaccinated yet anyway.

Yup.Looking at the numbers on Worldometer, they might be doing us a favour at the moment
French News and Views in English | The ConnexionThere have been 24 "episodes" (of at least one case) of the Indian variants found in France, as of May 11.

Can you quarantine on the boat? Moving shouldn’t be an issue.Same date for me as well, not best pleased...?
Hopefully yes. Apparently there will be a form to complete to justify the reason to visit. I think that will be the key part, will tourism be allowed. Can you quarantine on the boat? Moving shouldn’t be an issue.

Mike, see Julian’s post 890 in this thread, he's just been and returned from Italy.Actually thats a great idea. You might just have salvaged our June trip. Anyone know what the current entry requirements into Italy are?

Mike, entry to Italy is easy at present. I have just been there and back. You need a lateral flow Antigen test within 48 hours of travelling there - can not be the NHS kit, and then there is the entry form you can download on the gov.Uk website, search under Travel to Italy and within one of what comes up is a simple link. All very easy. And they will be ecstatic to see you unlike those ungrateful garlic eaters! There is actually a question as to reason for travel and I put second home. The immigration guy actually read it and asked me where to which i said a marina and it was a floating home which made him smile.Actually thats a great idea. Not looking good for France, no tourist access on this list
What are the essential reasons people can travel from UK to France?
Think you're confusing me with someone else - I havent really left the house since I got back from majorca last july....Mike, see Julian’s post 890 in this thread, he's just been and returned from Italy.
??Mmm, no Stanley Johnson exemption then for people visiting their second home for essential reasons such as preparing it for rent or selling it
