MDL Online Booking - Availability Accurate?

Did MDL online booking > Select Dates/Marina > Check Availability (OK) > Book.

Next day get mail saying 'no spaces'! Tried experimenting with other marinas (over this bank holiday) - none came back ‘not available’.

Has anyone ever got 'no availability' at the outset?

Yes, this ‘new’ system MDL have adopted, since trying to move from their ‘freedom berthing’ system has become a bit of a lottery. I know of an MDL berth holder who is currently doing a tour of the south coast MDL marinas, whilst he’s still a freedom berth holder and basically he has found that he can just turn up and they have always been able to squeeze him in. In fact there’s always room as berthers are away freeing up berths this time of season. Out of courtesy he rings ahead as about to depart one marina and has always got a positive response from the marina he’s headed for. But when he has tried the booking system it hasn’t always been encouraging. Don’t know whether this helps but from what this guy has found, you will be fine.
