MD11c exhaust manifold

Does anybody know where I can buy an exhaust manifold for an MD11c.

Mine looks like it has suffered frost damage whilst at home in the garage, even though no water in it!!!

Ther used to be a chap at or near Thornham Marina in Chichester harbour who welded them up out of stainless steel. I was told that they last much longer than the Volvo cast iron ones (just after I had bought a replacement one from Volvo Agents at Swanick for about £110)!

Just been quoted £421 + VAT for a new one from Keyparts, he said it was £100 cheeper than Volvo. It's the complete manifold not just the injection elbow. I was hoping some kind harted sole was going to say "I've got one lying about in my shed, you can have it for ££££". Guess I'll just keep looking, or dig deeper! Did you ever wish you'd never started something? Already spent best part of £180 on gaskets! If the wife finds out I'll be in the brown stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

you could keep a watch out on Ebay under v-p-. Quite often old models being broken and parts being sold.

I've got a whole engine lying in a mates barn - which you could have for less than the keyparts price !

I've got 2 exhaust elbows somewhere - one I think needs a slight weld - but if you mean the manifold - do you mean the long rectangular bit that has (8?) bolts through it and the thermostat attaches to the front of ?

If so - theres one of those on the engine. Engine was running when I replaced it last winter
