Maxsea and Vista

Does Maxsea 10 wo0rk with Vista does anyone know?
Only I am thinking of a new laptop for the boat and they pretty much all come with Vista these days.

No.

12.6 is the only Vista-compatible version. I don't know if they've sorted the Vista GUI driver problems yet.

You can buy laptops from Novatech without an operating system or with XP.

Dell are supplying to order with either Ubuntu or Win XP.

Or you can buy and change the HDD and reload what you want!

I'm running Maxsea V10 on a new laptop with Vista. Works brilliantly on mine.

Ahhh, there's two opposite views then /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Are there still new laptops available with serial ports? I have never had too much success with the serial to USB adaptors.

You can get a MaxSea USB dongle to replace the serial one. We had to do that when upgrading computers.

IBM laptops have serial ports and are quite!Haveing borrowed other laptops the fans can make you deaf!I saw IBMs X31s and 40s for under 200€ on ebay!(from a company in Nice neo soft i think and there reliable)

When im less economicaly challenged ill buy an X31 my X40 was great but the X31 and 2 were beter even though the processor isent ULV
