As per my previous post, we are considering adding cam cleats to the deck to take the spinnaker/parasailor guys.

The boat is 40 ft, the spinnaker is 125m2

The ca cleats are going to be bolted through the coamings. Harken do a cam cleat for a 12mm line hat has a max load of 200kg. Is this enough?

Would a guy be subjected to much more load than this?

It is run through blocks on the bowsprit then back

Thanks

Simple answer? "NO!"
Aside from the embarrassment when the cleat says "screw it- I'm going home!", somebody could get hurt. Rather use winches and possibly fit speed cleats if you want to lock your sheets off.
