There is obviously a permanent on supply to the switch illumination and the cabin light switch. You need to trace the positive feed that goes to the light switch back to it's source. That will almost certainly be where the switch illumination is getting it's supply from too. As i said earlier, look and see what small gauge wiring is connected to the battery positive or the isolator switch, it has to be in one or the other location.
