Massive thanks to RBS Marine / new boat

So after much soul searching last June we decided to take the plunge and replace our much loved Rodman 1250 for the All Brand New model based importantly on the same hull, The new Rodman 1290 Evolution fly bridge. We have just completed our maiden voyage from RBS in Chichester and taken the short hop around to The Hamble. The boat was delivered to RBS a month ago and they had various items to fit locally including for example the Garmin nav. We are delighted and Ben and Dana and the team at RBS are the best I have ever dealt with. It’s not the first 1290 in the world but the first in the UK. Thought this may prove to be an interesting thread. Happy Sunday ?????

Well there she is in all her glory, this was taken a couple of weeks ago just before the Flexi teak was put down, we used the fenders from the last boat as they are the heavy duty ones from Compass Marine, and only two years old, Rodman supplied a few fenders with fancy socks which I will save, its all VERY exciting

Flexi teek a great choice to add to a lovely boat. How exciting!!

agreed we only had the back deck ( it’s massive) and the bathing platform done. We went for “faded teak” it’s a bit more
modern than some of those more traditional shades I think. Very smart

Was panicking today as am a big England Rugby fan thinking oh no, heading to the boat next week but need to watch the game....why did I worry, press the button and watch the telly come up ?
