Exciting stuff.................

Painting the hull. 2 coats primocon. 2 coats AF to go.

I bought the blue stuff off ebay (3M I think). My mate says make sure you take it off immediately after every coat as if it rains it will start leaving sticky residue. Indeed I left it 24 hours after our last coat of primocon and it was already starting to stick.

My other mate who is actually helping paint thinks I should buy some "better" stuff to save the half an hour that we have left as only 2 coats to go!! Duck? Anything else? Or just get on with it.....................!!

It's more expensive, but I use Frog Tape low adhesive. Not had it tare or take off paint yet and leaves a really clean line.

+1 for Frog Tape... Not all tapes are made equal and a lot of "blue" tapes aren't 3M - which by the way, I've had poor experience with at the least glue residue being left behind, and at the worst a whole load of tape.

My "methodology" when I antifoul is to mask, immediately paint, paint the next coat next day, immediately remove masking tape. I certainly wouldn't leave it beyond 36 hours. Frog tape (green) has been the most successful by a long shot

Ok im going to try the frog tape. As it needs to be 10 degrees to do the antifouling i think if there is a weather window we will be doing it 2 days running!!

Our chandlery sells a yellow masking tape which is a plastic material, like insulating tape but thinner. Works very well indeed. Sorry but I don't know a brand name for it.
