I use ordinary red here on the farm and yesterday it was about £1.30 a litre. The price is so volatile that they will not give you a fixed price until late in the afternoon of the day before delivery. At 500 litres per day when both tractors are working hard .....

I would guess that the £1.24 stuff is old stock.

£9 per litre for beer is fairly cheap I am guessing the average consumption on a night out 4 or 5 litres over a few hours.
Boats on the plane upwards of 60 litres an hour diesel in the local garage was £1.72 a litre on Sunday yesterday same garage was £1.82 ?

New delivery of fuel on Tuesday gone up by 50p per litre.
Supplier unable to honour quote from only 48 hours earlier, quoted new price .
Needed to know within 2 hours....... take it or leave it.
