Quite honestly, I would not offer discounts if I ran Bradwell marina ( yes, I know I do not!!) & I do not know any valid reason why they should. If your boat is trapped when it may normally leave for a cheaper alternative, then that may be a reason to negotiate a rate equivalent to an annual rate rather than a high visitors rate. Perhaps a lower rate. I expect a number of holders will spin a yarn about how they fully intended to go somewhere at a cost of a couple of pounds a month. I expect that the owners are a bit wise to things like that.We wait with baited breath to hear about the discount we are offered as has happened do elsewhere.
But like you I am a regular berth holder. Currently I am on the hard. But I have not been "trapped" due to any action by the marina & I accept the situation.
My boat is in a safe environment.
For what reason should I be "entitled" to a reduction in fees?
