Yep, the F ones are rubbish.

I use the new posh ones now, trouble is, you need to walk by the bar to get to them. No ideal if it is slightly late and everyone is outside. :)
 
Our recent experiences - last season and this to date:

Northney MDL - 9
Brixham MDL - 10 (refurbed about 9m - yr ago
Torquay MDL - 9
Bembridge - 3

We have a shower on board (two in fact) incl the swim plat one. But the inside one makes such a mess of the heads (uses the sam area) we avoid using it if poss. Never really thought of using the SP one in this country, except after swimming, but just the other WE in the Marina some brave chap in a pair of trunks was having a right good wash down on his - soap/shampoo the lot.
 
Yep agree that Berthons is very good and Yarmouth would score better if it wasn't for the damn 6min shower.

Bembridge 4 - it is clean and the womans shower etc much better than the mens.

Bucklers Hard 2 - I think they must be the worst on the Solent.
 
OK so here is your handy cut-out-and-keep guide (I've tried to interpret yr comments as best I could pls correct if necessary):


10/10: Lymington Berthon, Port Solent, Farndon on Trent, Chichester (not F!), Brixham MDL

9/10: East Cowes, Torquay MDL, Northney

8/10: Yarmouth, Cobbs Quay, Stranraer

7/10: Weymouth

6/10: Port Hamble, Shephard's Wharf

5/10: Plymouth QAB

4/10: Salterns, Cowes Yacht Haven, Bembridge, Falmouth Town Quay

3/10:

2/10: Bucklers Hard

1/10:



Any more for the West Country where I'll be headed as soon as kids break up for summer?
 
Based upon above results I would rate Lymington Yacht Haven at 7/10, Berthon 9/10, Mercury 8/10, QAB Plymouth 3/10, Bucklers 4/10, Poole Town Quay 6/10, Darthaven 6/10,
East Cowes 9/10 and Portland 9/10.

East Cowes can be like a Prison bog.............
They attract a lot of large sailing boats on tour including some with young offenders aboard, they can be very loud and very busy , dont let young kids go alone.

Port Solent has to to be near the top of the list, but I would rate as follows;

10/10 Port Solent, Plymouth Sutton Harbour
9/10 Brixham (MDL)
8/10 Falmouth Marina (Premier)
7/10 Darthaven
5/10 Plymouth QAB (MDL)
4/10 Plymouth Yacht Haven

3/10 - East Basin - Toilets ok but showers are so bad my daughter refuses to use them
5/10 - West Basin - Rumoured to be better than East, but still nothing special
3/10 - Centre - see comments about football changing room

They weren't peeping at your ass, they were expressing amazement at the size of it and how any engines could propel such a behemoth with you on board! :D :D :D

Re Berthon.. what are you on about? There is a heavily frosted glass front to the shower cubicle.. you'd need x-ray vision to see through that unless someone is pressed up against it, but I dont think that sort of home video is encouraged in Lymington.

DAKA yes I did use them twice. Apart from the heavily smoked glass on the cubicle itself there is another separate glass partition to the shower itself (with a plea to dry yourself there rather than get all the nice wood flooring wet). As someone else said unless you press your @rse up against the glass it's hard to see why peeps could see you :-)

Thats fine then you are happy with them :)

I like them but the glass door reduces the score significantly for me, I feel 10/10 is too high, if you decided you were scoring them alone then 10/10 is fine as it is your score but I thought you requested others add their input which I have so please reduce from 10/10 .

Now lets move on to the glass doors on the bogs..........

your sat there doing what ever you do and the automatic lights turn off, you wave your arm about which turns your cubical light on leaving your silhouette shinning round like a light house..........its not my idea of a perfect bog, sorry.





they look nice 10/10 but not very practical which reduces score to 5/10

After revisiting berthon, I made a mistake, the doors arnt see through.
