Why on earth would you ever work that sort of thing out. Leads to knowing the cost of everything and the value of nowt.
That gets my vote for post of 2021 ???When BP asks your opinion it’s a trap?
You were the one who asked what others think.

Isn't it strange how your posts nearly always end in conflict.Well if you think so but it was actually just my reply to his answer. What fun would it be if we all agreed with one another
If you have odd balls you should see a doctor.I don’t think it matters how people get enjoyment from boating….be it stationary or underway….or just doing them up!?
farting about with ropes and sails however doesn’t seem like a fun past time….but it’s very popular apparently. The world is full of odd balls ?
The most recent that comes to mind are a couple who live in a cheap hotel(travelodge? I can't remember) as it's cheaper than being at home. There was an old biddy who lived on the QE2, which must have cost a fair old whallop. There are several stories around of retired people selling up everything and living permanently on cruise ships and in hotels as it's cheaper.
One company I might have association with still sends me offers, I could live aboard until the middle of January 2022 for 1/2 my monthly mortgage at the moment, no washing, cleaning, food included, etc.

Before covid there were plans to build huge ships for living on, they would endlessly sail the seas with their resident oldies. I suspect covid took the shine off cruise liners when they were treated as plague ships at the beginning of the pandemic
a balcony stateroom with included food and full service, just alcohol extra for under GBP 10 a day? Guaranteed for the next 6 weeks at least

Perhaps it’s subsidized by those who booked early and paid full priceI wonder what their reasons are for making an offer that is obviously below cost.
It must be cheaper to keep the ships functions ticking over instead of mothballing.

We were intending our first cruise in September 2021. Booked before Covid but it was cancelled by the cruise company due to Covid.
The chief officer will not consider rebooking at any price.
