Well the vents are very small but I sealed them with tape at the weekend.
The energy use suggests a benefit but not lifechanging. It looks like the dehumidifier will taks longer to fill its tank - which is good.
You have a tank? What if you are away for weeks or months?

Brief update. I placed a 40w tube heater in the engine room on 24/7. I placed a second 40w tube in the cabin ( not sure it was necessary or even at all effective) plus a new compressor dehumidifier set on auto at 50% humidity, with a permanent drain on the galley surface. At Premiers current 42p kw/hr, the daily usage was £1.90 for the first couple of days, and it has dropped to 80/90 pence per day for the past four days. I presume the dehumidifier has switched off having reached the target 50% humidity hence just the two tube heaters and battery charger using the few pence per hour. I haven’t visited the boat since, so hope that is the case!!

My dehumidifier did not cut in today while I briefly visited the boat and emptied the dehumidifier reservoir .
This was due to the temperature inside the boat being only 1 degree . I doubt any dehumidifier works at 1 degree.
But energy consumption has risen as the frost protection heaters located near the calorifier and in the engine bay must have cut in.

I have a compressor version, and the instructions say it will work down to 5c. The small tube heater in the cabin is unlikely to raise the interior temperature much, so you could be right.
