Even further walk for pint of milk... Duver marina pontoon in Bembridge IOW.

Loudest music whilst in a marina berth .... Poole Quay marina on a sunny weekend evening. (or Cowes Yacht Haven when they have an event).

But I like both locations as a visitor once in while.

So your walk is only 100m or so.;)

Even more so than Treguier???

It's the same part of the world, but I haven't been to Treguier and the rivers are similar in length.

This is up river from the marina.

We clocked it at around 4 knots trying to get into the marina. On the outside fingers it was doing the same, in the inside it was doing less, the fun comes because the tide doesn't run in line with the fingers (see here) when you go from the strong bit to the not so strong bit and find yourself powering towards the marina berth at 6 knots!

Darthaven - only marina I've ever been to where we had to winch the boat out, after getting a line to the next pontoon upstream, because the two bladed folding prop wouldn't generate enough reverse thrust to allow us to leave under engine!

I've been to the others with strong currents mentioned above, but have only arrived/departed at slack water.

Harbourmasters at Brightlingsea deserve a nod. Cheerful welcome on vhf, escort by the launch to a berth and they're happy to nudge my long-keeler during berthing manoevres.

Shallowest - Watchet with some pontoons flat on the mud at low water
Nastiest entrance - Swansea as witnessed by the large cgunks out of the wood rubbing strakes on the lock wall and with large bolts sticking out several inches.
Daftest prices - Aberystwyth. Solent prices in the middle of nowhere.

I'll throw Exmouth into the fast flowing tournament.

Tide will flow past the harbour / marina entrance easily at 6 knots on a big tide. I've seen it submerge channel marker buoys.

I've never tried to motor in on a raggie but it's a challenge even in an amusingly high powered sports boat. Sit sideways in the current then hit the gas and hope as you pass :D

Best showers. Haslar Marina, Porstmouth (or it was years ago when I was last there)

Oddest Showers. Torpoint Yacht Harbour. (a strange conversion of an old tug)

Most crammed. Torpoint Yacht harbour. (If they could put another boat on your deck they would)

Worst Value. Torpoint Yacht harbour. (Not the most expensive, but we felt that we got little for our money)

Least Pretentious. Falmouth Yacht Haven. (Not posh but always friendly in a down to earth sort of way. One of the few marinas that we choose to go to)

Worst drunks. Torquay Marina. (Not in the marina, but take 5 steps beyond the gate and Torquay on a Saturday night is dreadful)

Most desolate. The one up from the bridge at Poole. (We were there at the height of the season and it felt like a deserted industrial estate on a Sunday afternoon. Never again)
