Maptech charts - Now on DVD....

As was mentioned further up the thread, the Maptech website has not been updated. If you go to the link I posted you will see their number which is
0870 740 9040


Give them a call and ask for the Maptech UK charts DVD - if they deny all knowledge then somebody at the boatshow was posing as Maptech but they certainly sold me the DVD which has now been registered on my laptops and working a treat.

By the way, I have established that they will only allow you to register on two PC's if you call them, ie one for home and one for the boat.

They are very helpful, especially Mike Evans who is the Techie guru there.

This is true - and has been for some time, however, they do understand that PCs fail and will re-register you on another computer if your one has broken beyond repair.

We made contact by phone and ordered the dvd, no problem, they are just waiting for more to come in, then will be despatched.

Since I was about to spend a fortune on digital DKW2 charts from stentec: how do the maptech charts compare to others? They use BA charts but I couldn't find any information what's actually in the package. Stentec stocks 10 CDs for the UK @100 EUR each!
