As usual this nifty site has been keeping a photographic eye on the river over this rather chilly winter.

For those thames based boaters during the 1960s a lock keeper did attend this lock three times a day.....possibly !
Had a bit of fun just before xmas when ....ahem "my club" went on its winter cruise up to Allington Lock.As some of you know changed the boat last year and the new boat has got exactly the same name.
Me and the missus are known at the lock due to our frequent visits but mainly of going into lock sideways and clogging things up in general .
We did get a few funny glances until they realised the boat was different,my attempt to insist the boat was the same length come time to pay came to nought !
