made a decision - returning to the Crouch

Did i mention this on the phone? Anyway, seem to recall you don't have a tender? You can use ours rather than sort one pout, I'll get a key cut for the padlock (the oars are padlocked to the seat although stuff rarely seems to walk at Fambridge)

Elastic Lil!

Do you want a bog for your craft?

well I was going to laugh at this and say, yes, but where would I put it.... but then, I had a little thought about jiggling around the interior..... if it's a serious offer then I will think on...

great! thanks :-)

Good decision

Bog will fit where the battery is now - there is one there on my son's boat. So a bit of simple rewiring and a couple of seacocks and hey presto.

thanks. Monday night was horribly uncomfy and I was dying of thirst by the time I woke up as I had avoided drinking anything at all due to the snowy pontoon trek!

Having dithered a bit, I've decided to come back to the Crouch with Artemis and booked a swinger at Fambridge - mainly because of chums I've made via this forum. So, see you in April!

Hi Lisa, Nice to see you back will wave to you as I sail through the moorings, Iam still in Bridgemarsh prices have slightly increased this year
and I was also thinking of moving to a swinging mooring at Fambridge but the overall costs including hauling out and back in charges didnt produce a significant saving enough to tempt me from my pontoon mooring at Bridgemarsh.
Been following your move to St Kats and also your new boat purchase hope you enjoy the boat happy sailing 2013.
regards Stuart (Lazy Daze)

Just thinking, if you live in Kent why head for Essex?
I would have thought a mooring at Queenborough would offer better, closer sailing?
Not that I have a problem with the beautiful Crouch, I am an Essex Buoy myself!

well, I did a year a Gillingham followed by a year on the river at Medway yacht club - but actually I live just a couple of minutes from the bridge, so it's not difficult to get up to Fambridge - just 40 mins door to door and I have really enjoyed being on the Crouch. I have considered Erith, but there is no guarantee of a mooring yet, and I have to have somewhere definite to go! Horrible being homeless :-)

Oh, good. I'm so glad you are coming back. But deserting us for Fambridge...

Did you know that Goldeneye have gone to Fambridge too?

I know....but Artemis is small and cheap and, as Brigantia pointed out to me, no moor sitting in the cabin for the evening - you need to be near decent facilities and a pub!

and yes re Goldeneye - chatted to Colin on facebook the other night

Looking forward to coming back now.
