I am investigate the possability of purchasing this type of craft i.e. a trailer sailer with a large capacity out board capable of 15-20knots under power. At present I can only find the one make "Macgregor" does any one know of another manufacture of this type of craft

No other similiar craft that I'm aware of, but a search here will throw up lots of details and some strong opinions on the Mac 26.

There's the Odin 820 and Dufour used to do a boat called the Duo of which there are allegedly lots sitting around unsold at the Dufour factory

the power mac is a fair weather boat and must be used with care as several people have died when the boat rolled. to be fair, the ballast tank was empty and boat overloaded at the time, still you will prob give up both sail and motor as the boat does neither that well, def not for n.sea or crossing channel unless perfect weather. prob class a or b at best, just a thought...
