Has anyone purchased this chart plotter and willing to provide some feedback ? It looks like a decent instrument and at £389 (Aladdin's Cave) it seems a very good price for a 5" colour plotter. I am also informed that the Navionics charts are pretty good where the new XL3 versions have a much wider capture than the likes of C-Map. For the whole West coast Scotland I believe that I would only require to purchase one at £199 rather than several C-Maps. Most other plotter's of the same spec seem to be nearer £500 -> £600 +.
Any advice on the plotter and/or the charts ? ... or any user's of the Lowrance unit out there willing to comment ?

I use a Lowrance 5000c and have only one word for it - BRILLIANT - the only downside is that i have yet to find a compatible reasonably priced PC programme that will enable me to plot routes and waypoints for uploading. if anyone knows of one i would appreciate the info.
