Have you got one lying down the bottom of the garden or sitting in a dinghy park somewhere?

I'm after an Otter, its more or less 12ft and grp.

Somewhere not too far from Chichester would be ideal.

Hello Michael, I replied to your PM, did you see it?

I'm assuming this is the boat you'd seen. I don't know much about Otters, but it looks like a reasonable price, assuming the trailer is roadworthy. It may be obvious but however nice the boat is, you wouldn't want to go that far then find you couldn't tow it home. Also, trailers (rather than trolleys) are really not cheap, so if it's all in usable condition, I think it's probably worth what they're asking...you could perhaps ask for a reduction on the grounds that a 44-year old sail will probably need replacing.

Hope you find what you're looking for. (y)

Hi Dancrane,

Sorry be so late in replying to this. Yes I have seen the ad for Johnathan Livingstone Seagull and spoken to the guys selling it. I suspect any old Otter will still have its original sails, it is not the sort of boat where they are changed on a regular basis to keep competitive. I have a couple of other leads to follow up, nearer too. Thanks for this!
