Pretty, slim but well-built old-timer WLTM others of a similar disposition living in East Anglia.

We (myself and hopeless coward owner) are currently stuck in Woolverstone because he won't attempt Deben Bar in forecasted F5-7 Southerlies, nor indeed anywhere whilst singlehanded in such conditions - however, trains are unaffected by such conditions and therefore Woodbridge is possible if that's "where it's at", if I recall the phrase correctly.

What with his work commitments and all (we don't agree on priorities), April 15th - 17th are looking promising, plus if anyone would like a sail, let us know, although it seems Woodbridge is out as it's almost bang on Neaps and we won't make it up there and over the cill in time, more's the pity. My bottom still hurts from the last time...

Anyway, had better go before he gets back - if he catches me on the internet again, I will be for it.

April 15-17 a particularly gregarious old lady, also well built, will be entertaining.

Its "fit out" weekend on the Nancy Blackett at Robertsons yard, with Nancy moored up against their dock wall. A number of the usual suspects will be about, so expect a jolly evening, and a meal somewhere in the town. We are even expecting the presence of Contributing Editor.

I can't sail (now, now...) that weekend, for obvious reasons, as I need to be at both Larkmans and Robertsons already, and despite my size, I can't be in three places at once unless they're quite close together.

Was taken to a football match tonight (Ipswich-Rotherham). The last time the blue and white scarf came out of the draw was the play-offs when Ipswich went up the premiership a few years back. I didn't go to the match 'cos I prefer sailing. The scarf however was strung between the top of FF's port and starboard flag halyards, and attracted a lot of attention on the Deben. I hope no-one tried to look it up in their almanac.

Hello to all aboard the Nancy Blackett!

I had the great pleasure of being moored (in my 'almost classic' mobo) by you at Woolverstone just about a year ago, and having re-read the Arthur Ransome stories on my Eastern Exploration, what a delight it was!

Please accept my very best wishes for the season ahead, and I hope it might interest you to know that I've just bought a 21ft yacht, with the intention of 'learning to sail properly'...

Regarding the Deben bar, I can confirm that it is no problem at all...

...provided you have 216 of Messrs Ford and Thornycroft's horses on tap...

Good luck to all lonely ladies!
