Just wanted to say thanks for this link.
We lived aboard part of last summer while we waited to move into our new house. my worst nightmare was loosing my wallet overboard and all my credit cards, it was realy hard to get the veriouse credit card companies to send me replacements to our yacht club,they where worried about security.We did Get them after a long time and a lot of hassle.Just one problem of living aboard without a land base. Anybody else had to cope with this sort of thing?

Hire a post box at the post office and let send all your mail to it. You even can let send your mail intended for your house to that mailbox.
