I'm worried that you had to persuade your wife 2 b.
You should ask yourself if she is honestly as keen on the idea as you. A 30' foot liveaboard boat requires an awful lot of keeness and give and take to make it pleasureable.
Maybe you need to find another way to ease her into sailing if the long term is be envisaged. Sorry to be a pessimist. I personally would hesitate to envisage liveaboarding on anything less than a (roomy) 35 footer but then I'm older and like my creature comforts. Does she?
