Glue a new transom in a Plasimo inflatable

Hi all, I have been given an inflatable (pvc) because the transom was rotted. It is in great condition apart from that so I have taken the old transom out and will use it as a template for a new one.
Any work I have done on an inflatable used two pack contact adhesive, this won’t be possible because I have to slide the new ply into the slots either side and at the bottom.
Does anyone know of an adhesive I could use so I can slide the transom in? Any suggestions greatfully received.

Put a sheet of plastic between the transom and pvc. Slide in the transom. Pull out the plastic. Shure, what could go wrong?
