I'm watching much more TV than before the pandemic. One advertisement shows Listerene effective in clearing fouling from a mobo. Has any mobo owner tried it and as they seem to be a litigious lot how much would they sue for if it didn't work?

If I remember correctly Listerene was originally produced as a disinfecting cleaning agent, it's only in its later form it has been re-invented ax a mouthwash.

It's been promoted for all kinds of things over the last century or so - surgical antiseptic, gonorrhoea treatment, floor cleaner, dandruff preventative, and a cure for the common cold (which a court ordered them to retract, since it wasn't). Mouthwash against bad breath seems to be the only thing that's stuck, but mobo antifoul doesn't seem all that out of keeping with everything else ;)
