Lighting an Origo

Yep

Worth having a box of Ship long matches as a backup

Failing all else, a normal match gripped with a pair of long nose pliers will do the job when all three gas matches on board pack up at the same time and the Ship matches run out!

Dylan.

You clearly have a computer or else you would not have been able to post your question.

May I introduce you to a thing called Google.

If you ask a simple question it normally can answer it in a nanosecond.

Type in "long gas lighter".

Amazing, lots of answers like.

Of course, for the more challenging questions like "why am I sailing the wrong way around the UK" the collective wisdom of the forum exceeds that of Mr Google. :p

Pound shop.

Also good for lighting Tilley lamps...ah that reminds me.

The turbo flame jobbies while excellent bits of kit would be a bit fierce for that task and have pretty well invisible flames, not ideal.

Hi, good to hear it arrived. I had same prob. Bought a long, light your kitchen cooker gas refillable thing that didn't work and then just took the long cooks matches out of the kitchen drawer!

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that to fill, hold the canister vertically and keep pouring until you see the meths appear at the bottom of the pad.
