What's the lightest 2HP outboard available?

Don't think anyone makes a 2hp any more.
Tohatsu 2.5 = 12.5kg
Tohatsu 3.5 = 12.5kg
Honda 2.3 = 12.6kg
Johnson 2.5 = 13.5kg
Johnson 3.5 = 13.5kg
Think there used to be a Yam or Suzuki 2 that was about 12kg.

An old Yamaha / Mariner 2hp with 9kg plus fuel.
Went up approx. 1kg when upgraded to returning start cord.
(I have one that still has to be curled on manually)

New Suzuki 2hp's are still available. I have seen them for sale in the showroom of Robin Curnow Outboard Motors at Penryn, Cornwall. I don't think they are on his website <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.robincurnow.co.uk/index.html>http://www.robincurnow.co.uk/index.html</A>

He also has Mercury 2.5's at about half Kg heavier.

Yes, it seems that Suzuki still sell the 2.2 in the UK. Weight 12kg according to their UK brochure.

I have a working 2hp yamaha, that has been re-conned if you are interested - these are the lightest engines, and even SWMBO can lift it, It will push a 2.6 m rubber duck at abt 4kts, but I have bought a new boat/engine combo so it is surplus. Keep on meaning to advertise it

The Tohatsu 3.5 hp only weighs 12.5 kg if you choose to buy it with out the gearbox. It has extra power when you need it and it fuel efficient at low revs when you dont
