Liftout Charges

When Jazzcat needs a scrub, I pay £5 per tide on the club grid, plus £3 for 45 mins of pressure washer.
In the days before EU pollution regs, I used to do an early season sail over to Cherbourg, use their drying slip and hook up my pressure washer to the supply and do a scrub off. Not an esplessialy cheap way to do it but definitely enjoyable.
Even if the rules hadn't changed I would find it difficult to do now, scrabbling around under a bilge keel boat at my age isn't an option, so just pay up and grin (all be it through gritted teeth).

Our club does a simple lift wash launch service for around £90 for my 10m boat. Less than an hours work so a good earner for the club. Lift, wash, block off, week storage and relaunch was £365 in July

I'm fast getting to that age, too, but one of these is a great help

Not many places where can have sails up 5 mins from casting off pontoon and sail round two spectacular islands and back in a two hour winter sail
Off the top of my head…Howth, Kilmore Quay, Bangor… 😉

You’re right though it’s a perfect cruising ground for year around sailing we loved it up there.
