In the days before EU pollution regs, I used to do an early season sail over to Cherbourg, use their drying slip and hook up my pressure washer to the supply and do a scrub off. Not an esplessialy cheap way to do it but definitely enjoyable.When Jazzcat needs a scrub, I pay £5 per tide on the club grid, plus £3 for 45 mins of pressure washer.
Even if the rules hadn't changed I would find it difficult to do now, scrabbling around under a bilge keel boat at my age isn't an option, so just pay up and grin (all be it through gritted teeth).
