Lift and Scrub deals?

If your based around the Medway then its worth joining Medway yacht club just so that you can make use of their excellent scrubbing facilities.

Also you can be ashore too for a few days in the cost, far better than "lift n hold", as the topsides can be polished & seacocks checked

i'm in Fox's, hoping for a lift but they are booked up solid for a week or two, just spoken to jj, totally rushed off his feet.

Shotley gave the cheapest quote, 157 including a week hard standing, but nothing til Weds at the earliest, its a good yard, but in the middle of nowhere which complicates life.

Woolv and Lev are in the middle of nowhere and unknown quantities.

Ipswich Haven can do me on Monday, a bit more than Shotley, 192 for out, in and a week out, but hey you can get things done in the city, no taxis fares or long walks.

SAILORMAN if you are knocking about Foxs, come and say hello, old gaffer on the fuel pontoon

- Have been at SYH for years and was quite happy to recomend them. Nothing unknown about them.
I usually ask to be hauled out just before lunch. The boys then leave for lunch and relaunch me when they're back. Plenty of time to grease the prop and change the anodes.
Last year I paid £95 for a 44' boat.
- As for the middle of nowhere: OP is looking for somewhere convenient and cheap to haul out and scrub, not somewhere to spend the holiday of a lifetime.

After checking round it seems that SYH offer the best deal, followed closely by Titchmarsh. SYH are also not heavily booked up at the moment so will probably go with them. Intrigued by the trolley mounted scrubbing posts at Medway Yacht Club, brilliant idea!
Thanks all for your input.

Jolly good show, old chap. It's great to hear the glad tidings from the horse's mouth, bestens, Bob xxx
