I was reading Bill Cooper's book "Sell Up and Sail" the other day I noticed he was recomending a hard dingy instead of a liferaft. (if I understood him correctly). Does anybody have any thoughts on this?
Also I heard there was a chap some where who was planning to find Drake's coffin and bring it back to England. I understand he was buried three miles off Portobello in Panama. What is the feeling in the UK about this?

Well, it's what we do. The liferaft has always been financially round the next corner but one, but we do take the dinghy seriously.

There is an awful lot to be said for carrying a rigid dinghy on deck.

I doubt if they wil find Drake's coffin, but if they do I would not be too unhappy to see his bones, if any are left, brought home. Still, he shares the sea as a grave with an awful lot of his fellow countrymen.
