Is there anywhere near Cardiff that can service Seago liferafts?

Wow.....flippin £366.47+vat for a service that lasts 3 years:disgust: Why can't i do it?

That's depressing, I've got a seago that'll want servicing next season. Where did you get the quote? Does it vary with size (I suppose so and we have a 6 man one)

Well i was told Cosalt in Portishead but they no longer exist so you get through to Cosalt International Ltd. (Southampton)
I said 4 man so i guess the bigger they are the more they are.I doubt its much more though.Its the flares etc that add up.Only the cylinder will be a bit bigger and the inspection might take a few mins longer.

Also depends which model you have. ISO 4 man is £366.46+vat, Rafts with serial number prefix 'G' are £171.67+vat.

OK that makes sense, thanks for the figures. Ours is non-ISO so maybe the lower figure applies, the higher costs perhaps for ISO rafts. Otherwise the servicing costs at the higher figure would be within 100 quid of a new non-ISO raft when you figure in VAT which would make it uneconomic. I'll check the model number today methinks.

These are doing it now £199+vat but if the cylinder needs replacing its another £120.He reckons my 2008 should be ok though!!!!! Drop liferaft at Wigmore right (Penarth Marina) and you get it back in a week or so.Some people have said try xxxxx survival equipment etc (which are cheaper) but would you take your Ferrari to a back street garage in Barry that have never serviced one???

That's very handy as Wigmores are the yard I use and I have a good relationship with them. I have to call in there next week so will ask about the service (although ours doesn't need doing till next year it's good to know).

It ended up costing £199+vat. Top tip- don't get it done at the beginning of the season, it takes ages!
