After more than 10 years I need to change Play d'eau's Lifeline batteries - all 9 of them! Quotes for Rolls batteries show they are far less expensive.

Lifeline or Rolls? That is the question.

Thank you - Piers

My 460ah of deep cycle flooded Rolls batteries are just starting to show their age after 9 years, with two of those years spent as full time liveaboards.

Dunno about Lifeline

No, I'm a raggie and the boat was on an Atlantic circuit, so off the grid for most of the time, longest time we went without going into a marina was three months.

Batteries kept charged via engine alternator (with Adverc), a couple of small solar panels, a feeble Rutland 913 windmill and the occasional use of a suitcase generator, via the shorepower charger.

Main power demands are the watercooled fridge, when in the tropics it had a 50% duty cycle and the PUR 40 watermaker.

Not sure I loveLifeline pricing. I just bought Sonnenschein. I too have 9. (I'm gel not AGM but that's a horses for courses Q, not one size fits all)
