Life rafts in Gibraltar

Was planning on ordering a Seago ISO 9650-2 life raft from SVB. However, since I'll be passing through Gibraltar I wondered if there is anywhere selling them in the area.

None of the chandleries do, and it seems Marine Safety just do servicing.

Marine Safety sell various makes as well as servicing. Steve recommended the SeaSafe self righting and his price was best around 4 years ago. http://marinesafetygibraltar.com/

P.S. One of the Ocean Safety rafts is a rebadged SeaSafe.

Don't know if he actually stocks rafts, most likely gets them in to order. Ours was delivered to Bruce's from French distributor but invoiced via Marine Safety. When it was due for first service last year, no probs being present when it was unpacked, inflated and inspected. Ready for collection next day after 24hr inflation test.

Interesting. If not able to pick up in Gib, I want delivery to Portugal.

Can't remember the VAT position but, his price was good. Don't even think about buying from Sheppards chandlery, their prices were plain crazy when we checked.

P.S. Alternative is to buy from UK and have it delivered by Algarve Express.

Can also try Gibyachts, the chandlers that opened a year or two ago down in New Harbours.

Marine safety sell as well... There is a depot in northern france for Seago and their prices even with shipping are much lower than anywhere else. |Might hve to collect in in La Linea and avoid Gib 10% customs duty

Cheers. Marine safety couldn't be bothered to respond to my email so they can go and do one. Guess I'll buy from elsewhere.
