Hi I have a couple of Crewsaver life jackets, one normal automatic operation the other hammer type. Bought these about 5 years ago and they have just sat at home.

Do I need to service e them in any way or change firing mechanisms / gas bottles etc before use next week ???

Cheers

Peter

If they're automatic and 5 years old, then the inflation mechanisms are, strictly speaking, due to be replaced. I'd get them checked over - they may or may not work, but you don't wanna find out when you're floundering in the water...........
