No.... Don't use any teak oil. it will collect dirt and sweat and make your clothes a mess and you will wish you had never bought it... if you have too use something like endeavour. I think it looks better natural and I clean with warm water and milton mix using scotch brite along the grain.

You could always use TCM's magic stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Used teak oil on a previous boat.
Turned the yeak black and grubby after exposure to air/water/salt.
Would not recommend it.

Oh dear... we ran out of Semco teak sealer yesterday and had to do the second coat with all we could source locally, which was International Teak Oil... Are we doomed?

Thanks for the link.

I have started rubbing down the wooden surround strake - I think it is called - and the grab rails which previously were covered in a dark stainer. I had intended using teak oil, but as has been suggested, having done the cockpit floor boards they are now rather black. This Endeavour stuff seems rather complicated and I suspect expensive. Any thoughts? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
