I have dual controls on a Mascot 28, one in the small wheelhouse and one outside at the tiller. They are both a bit stiff making manoeuvring tricky at times. I see the internal one has a sticker on it saying that if the controls get stiff that there is an internal friction screw which should be adjusted.
This seems to be under a black plate on which the throttle lever sits in. I take it this plate will just pop off?
Also both controls seem identical so I'm presuming the cockpit one will have the same friction screw? I have attached a photo, I'm not at the boat so apologies for the poor photo, hoping to adjust it this week. Anybody else done this adjustment?
The throttle cables seem well greased but I will also grease them up.
The boat was little used before I got it, but well maintained. I think it saw little use through and after Covid, although I've done about 400nm since.
