I need some help please.

I am trying to find specifications for my engines. I was told when I bought the boat that they are 'Leyland Sealord' diesel engines, six cylinder about 110HP (also seen 120HP mentioned) But how heavy are the likely to be, I need to have them lifted out and I am trying to find some sort of trolley/truck to place them on whilst I 'tinker'.

They are runners but whilst I am doing so much with the rest of the boat it seems foolish not to lift them out whilst I get the engine bay grit blasted and see if I need any more plates replacing. Also need to get rid of all the gash steel work that has been tacked on over the years.

Thanks in advance.

Mal

p.s. There are two of them.( yes I can multiply by two, just letting you know, that is all)

I think it's a Sea Lord made by Morris.

Don't know the weight but here's some info to help your search.

I have 2 x BMC Commanders which are only 4 cylinder but from the same era.
I was advised they would be no more than 0.5 tons.
May be a guide.
There are 2 companies that claim to be able to source spares for BMC (or Leyland) engines;
Chertsey Mead Marine, Chertsey, Surrey.
The other is a canal boat place in Scunthorpe somewhere.
