Use a silicon made for this: DOW 795. Nothing else come close and it is probably what the factory used. Sika 295 urethane requires primer. I've used both and prefer DOW 795.

Can anyone recommend suppliers of the perspective/acrylic/plycarbonate (which should it be?) Other than the dedicated marine ones like Eagle who are excellent but I can't afford their prices and there must be other suppliers of what is after all a widely used plastic?
That is interesting. I just e-mailed DOW who recommended Dow 791 for this application. Wonder what the difference is?

Is polycarbonate stronger than acrylic......that's what websites seem to say? In a hatch situation they need to withstand waave impacts and also weight of crew walking on them? Do acrylic and polycarbonate both stand up to this?
