The sheaves on my genoa cars are brittle, chipped and not far from being on their last legs. The spindles through the sheaves seems to be peened, so it appears that the easiest replacement would be with a new complete stirrup/upstand. Does anyone know where I might get a similar/identical/compatible pair? Lewmar or another manufacturer. I've drawn a blank so far.

If I don't find anything that would be an easy swap then I plan to cut the spindles and replace them and the sheave - but if anyone has a better suggestion I'd be delighted to hear it.
Hi,
The eBay postings linked below may provide a solution, either as a complete replacement, or parts for a DIY repair. Some searching on the forum will yield hints and tips on how to accomplish the latter:

I got my sheaves from Andy Salomonson; satisfactory service, have installed them, but not yet put to the test.

Thanks. I've been in touch with Andy already, he advised machining new ones. Machining the sheaves should be relatively easy (I've access to a lathe and can make tooling to knock them out fairly quickly) and the materials are cheap. Doing a strong, neat job of the axles/mounting hardware is what has me scratching my head; I feel like something beefier than the stainless bolt shown above is needed.
