Levington - hull growth

I’ve been in there for a couple of years and have experienced very little fouling. My berth is right beside a land drain so that might be a factor in keeping it reduced

I have been at SYH for 14 years and the growth is limited to mostly slime on the hull and a few worms on the rudder and prop .
No worse than anywhere else. However last year was the worst for waterline growth on all boats that I and others have ever seen. It was very bad on the side open to the sun and had long fronds about a foot long. It seemed to be on all boats whether using coppercoat type or traditional anti foul. I haul out every other year and my antifoul just about lasts overwinter but I do have a quick haul out and jet wash and go back at the end of September. This is a good rate at SYH just over a £100 for my Moody31.

I am having a nightmare trying to get the slime off the waterline. We are on a swinging mooring at Levington and I did not notice any of this until relatively recently when she went into the marina for a few weeks at the end of the season. Out on the swinging mooring the hull seemed to stay remarkably clean. The boat is on the hard now and jet washing hardly touches it and I have now had three goes with a cleaner and I am still not happy.
