seashoreman,

I said I stood to be corrected and mentioned what I thought was correct, no need to be snotty about it !

I admire quite a few boat designs actually, from 10 -100' and one of the reasons I think the L23 wonderful for people who want that sort of thing, majoring on accomodation rather than sailing ability.

Each to their own...

Good god man, I didn't even know I had the ability to be snotty. Just leave out the digs at L23 OK. Hope to pass you on a summer breeze. Last word anybody......

No digs intended or implied, I think the L23 a fine boat for her purpose.

If you're going to ' pass me on a summer breeze ' I look forward to filming it as trust you'll be in freefall from a handy Hercules first ! :)

Fair enough Seajet, just correcting any technical comments. I love my little boat and keep it in very good condition. It does suit my purpose being in a long muddy river which is not always possible to exit on my weekend jaunts, I am no racer. More family and friend and a picnic at anchor, each to their own.
Boat is called Seasharp (relates to musical work), maybe I better think again about racing Seajet? Tail between legs, Sea Flat Minor

I think the reason there are no boats like this still made is down to finance. There's not enough profit to be made in small boats to sustain a business unless you can sell them at 'premium' prices like cornish crabblers. Also there are masses of old boats like this around secondhand. BTW we had a leisure 17 as our first boat and loved it.
