LED lights & associated resister?

I converted some led lights that ran on 3 AAA batteries (4.5 V) to run on 12VDC by replacing the batteries with a 5 Volt regulator 7805.

Neither mentions a 12V cigarette type plug lead though.

The 24 led one in your link clearly has 24 led's the earlier ones in the link I provided it was not so clear.In that earlier link I believe a lead was mentioned as an accessory.Though I never could find it.
