Re: Its booked!

Just had a thought!! (must lie down now!!)

If we are getting in HW-2ish, we will be in time for light lunch at the Company Shed!!! or is that just being a pig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: Its booked!

If you do, Vreny will no doubt join you.
I will have to assess your current girth before judgement.

Re: Its booked!

Lunch at the shed sounds like a brilliant idea - we have not yet been and are really keen to go. But of course I would want to be greedy, as you would expect from someone who loves Fray Bentos pies :-)

Re: Its booked!

The Coast has my vote because it's likely to have a variety to select from rather than a particular type of food , oh , and you can add a crate of Spitfire to the ballast . Anyone know what the ladies are drinking , please don't say Laurent Perrier Rose as Louise has suggested . /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: Its booked!

We'll be aiming to get there in time for the company shed. Will also ask my partner in crime at work about the evening venues as he is a West Mersea resident!

Re: Its booked!

she gets carried away sometimes , but you have to admit it's a nice drop of plonk . Wine and a few others included on list . Anyone fancy helping me empty a bottle of Aguandente de Figo ?

Re: Its booked!

Fig flavoured Portuguese Grappa? Eclectic tastes Dave.
I think I will stick with the usual beer, wine, port, coffee, brandy, coffee, whisky route. Well tried, tested and predictable results.

I must admit, I only abuse Champagne when I have had a catastrophe. Magnum of Pol Roger and 2 half pint beer jugs please, barman, and make no attempt to cheer me up..

Re: Its booked!

Hi All,

Have just spoken with my colleague at work. Apparently the Coast Inn WAS the one to go for but it has gone downhill recently and the only place now worth going to is the Titash Restaurant (Indian). Full Circle has this in the take away section but it is a sit down restaurant too! hmmm... anybody not like Curry?????

Re: Its booked!

Sorry to be a pain , but certain foods have undesirable effects , but it's not just down to me alone , if everyone else wants curry that's fair enough

Re: Its booked!

Curry's not the best for my healthy eating either so probably better at the Coast Inn. Also apparently they do seafood platters there for those that can't make the company shed.

Re: Its booked!

Please dont all jump the gun here. We still have a nominal reservation at WMYC. The alternatives are in case we need to consider other things. They havent phoned me today, but I am ever hopeful.
The WMYC is probably the best choice, as we can spend as much or as little time there as we like, there is a garden and the beach for kids to separate themselves from the parents, and we will be under no commercial pressures to keep spending once we have filled our gobs. We are also on their moorings for nowt, so it would be polite to at least go and say thank you.

Re: Its booked!

Fine by me too , and I don't envy you Neil , I don't think I even tried to get my kids to eat a curry , personally love them but they don't like me , curries that is
