Last sail for me was last Sunday. 28 degrees and 25 knots. All good. Might have been sailing yesterday but club are having a Christmas break so no racing. Would have been horrible 40 degrees and no wind. Bit hot this morning only got down to 27 degrees around sun up. Yes 32 degrees south. ol'will
PS you are mad sailing in December UK, but I guess you know that.

Not at all. Per photos on the other thread three sails so far in December in Scotland - chilly but blue skies and perfect sailing winds. No oilskins needed, they stayed in the locker on each trip.
Plenty of time left for a final sail of 2024, now the very strong winds have passed.

Where I'm moored they take the harbour entrance buoys in between November and March so enforced no sailing. Another problem is that the heater on my boat is more for taking off the autumn and spring 'chill'.
