A little while ago someone asked if anyone had used a laser rangefinder to aid coastal navigation. I promised to get hold of one and report back but I can't find the thread. I have at last managed to borrow one that can measure up to 1.5 kilometres but of course my boat is now out of the water for the winter. I have used the range finder walking around the hills and it does work well and gives consistant readings. I'll try it at sea in the spring but does anyone know who was interested, please.
