Well in our local News a very large Commercial Ship departed its Moorings to the Wharf at night , on the River Teign , and sunk a Tender plus damaged a Fishing Vessel all moored up on the other side of the Fairway
A Motor Tug vessel assisted others in re putting the Large Commercial Ship back attatching it to the Wharf again ; plus moving local Fishing Vessels onto the Harbour Board pontoons , to be safe , for the night
Not knowing the practice of Mooring a Large Commercial Vessel , might I ask if its practice to lay out additional lines that can act as a safety measure , just in case the main lines fail ?
