I’m not sure those replies were particularly serious you know…

For added interest; I tried lanolin grease as an antifoul on my prop last year. It absolutely stinks but barnacles seem to love it

Been there done that - we had exactly the same result. We applied to the water line, sail drive and prop and as far as we could ascertain the fouling organisms thrived on lanolin.

I did wonder if the lanolin based product might replace grease or Duralac when using stainless with aluminium.
