Further to a recent posting I have used lanolin in Chichester Harbour, better than nothing but not over impressed, I was considering getting some copper dust and mixing it with the lanolin prior to application or smearing the prop with copper based grease. Has anyone tried either?

I've had my first season with a spray-on hard anti foul in the med- not too impressed, had to dive and clean approx 3x in summer, boat/engine used every other day.
I was thinking of lanolyn this summer.
How often was your boat/engine used?

Engine used between 25 - 30 hours only, however, the boat was in the water and thus exposed to marine organisms for seven months. Regarding the use of copper dust this is used with epoxy as a general long term (up to 5 years) antifouling system. e.g Seahawk Sharkskin: A 45.2% copper modified epoxy paint for highly mobile boats, which my Colvic Sea Rover isn't!
